In our animation we have tried to make it look as though the characters in the radio show are in there own world. We wanted to stray away from the idea of just putting them in the obvious studio situation and put them in a completely different, playful scenario which would match the theme of their ideas in there imagined sounds. We went through alot of more complex ideas before we became set on this particular approach to the brief, we felt that the low fi look and feel of our approach suits the audio better and is alot more effective. We were strongly influenced by the illustrator Andrew rae who works a lot with mixed media and surreal themes throughout his illustrations.
I quite like the mountains with tv's, and think when they are done well it'll look sexy, and the idea of moving into the landscape, and then out of the other side back to the start is nice.
I really don't like the woodland room though, but it'll do for the show and tell tomorrow.
I thought I'd show the new changes to the previous frames, I think we should keep that current background (the blueish painted wood texture). Joe mentioned including a factory to use for one of the individuals sound sequences so I quickly put that together to see how it would look.
Also I'm not sure at all about the style of the mountains in the latest image?
